Our Mission:
The mission of the Greater Newark Boys & Girls Club Lady Sharks AAU Program is to provide the highest level of youth AAU basketball while remaining consistent with the mission of the Boys & Girls Clubs of Delaware. We will do this by developing well-rounded athletes on and off the court who are prepared to compete at each athlete’s highest level. While fostering an interest in competitive AAU basketball our program will develop good sportsmanship among all of our athletes. We respect and value the benefits of participation in the game of basketball and will continue to give our athletes the opportunity to have fun, develop lasting relationships, and learn to compete and grow as individuals.
Why join the Lady Sharks AAU Family? (What the parents say………..)
“Because of the exposure my child got from playing with the Lady Sharks, she earned a full scholarship to a Div. I University. We are thankful to the organization for helping us through the recruitment process and will be eternally grateful for the wonderful experiences we had with the Lady Sharks over the years!”
“I want to congratulate the coaches on a job well done this AAU season. From the practices against the boys to the transportation to and from the tournaments, from the warm-ups & bags, to the team meals and finally the end of the year celebration! The Lady Sharks organization has shown over and over to be the ‘class’ AAU club in the state of Delaware. We are happy to be a part of the Sharks family and we are looking forward to this AAU program being an important part of her development as a basketball player.”
“This season was not only enjoyable to watch but it was also great to meet new people and gel together as one big family. Thank you guys for caring enough to show these kids what LOVE is all about. We appreciate the support you have shown our daughter over the years and we appreciate all the well wishes for her future playing Div.1 basketball. You guys have played a big part in my daughter’s life over the past 6 years and we thank you whole heartedly for caring so much about her. We always knew she was in good hands!”
